AKAs Plan Free Community Health Fair
 

   In recognition of Minority Health Month, Upsilon Omicron Omega Chapter (Norfolk) of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will sponsor a free Community Health Fair, Saturday, April 26, 2008 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Fairlawn Recreation Center on Kempsville Road in Norfolk.  One of the sorority’s main community initiatives worldwide is an emphasis on health and wellness. 
    Health professionals from Bon Secours Health System and the Norfolk Host Lions will be on hand to conduct sight and hearing screenings, along with a variety of health professionals offering information on mental health, nutrition and fitness and preventing childhood obesity. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 549-6187 after 6 p.m.
