Aretha Franklin May Lose Her Detroit Mansion Amidst Mortgage Crisis

(Taylor Media Services)—The wave of foreclosures sweeping the nation has apparently entrapped the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. Her $700,000 brick mansion in Detroit, Michigan has fallen into foreclosure. And according to the Detroit Free Press, she owes a total of $19,192 in back taxes and late fees through 2007. Franklin has until March 31st to make the payment and reclaim her property. 
      However, Franklin has issued a statement saying the entire problem results from a mistake by one of her attorneys. She says she will pay what she owes by the deadline.
