BTW Class of 1957 Annual Picnic
In the style, flair and ever abundant spirit that is so characteristic of the CLASS OF 1957, BOOKER T. WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL, Norfolk, its annual picnic was held on August 23, 2008 at the water front home of classmate Charlie Pittman.
Classmates from across the state and from other area attended and enjoyed a fun filled day of sharing memories and rekindling friendships. It has truly become an event where
classmates gather to enjoy all of the many occurrences reminiscent of days at the "Factory".
Food was plentiful as the "sharing table" offered collard greens, pigs feet, corn pudding, and an array of many of many other specialty dishes as well as a bounty of delectable desserts. Of course, fresh fried fish and crabs were plentiful and enjoyed by all. An impromptu raffle was held with the prize of “Money for gas”.
The CLASS OF 1957 looks forward to this occasion each year as classmates utilize this venue to keep the spirit of “THE FIGHTING BOOKERS” alive. (Thanks to Bea Moore
