James "Jimmy" Lee Indcuted Into N.Y. State Hall of Fame
                        
     James “Jimmy” Lee was inducted into the New York State High School Section I Wrestling Hall of Fame on March 13, 2008. Coach Lee, along with five of his former sectional champions, was honored at the annual Section 1 Coaches Association Awards Dinner held at the Holiday Inn Fishkill in New York.
    The Coaches Association presented Coach Lee with a plaque and highlighted his outstanding coaching achievements. Coach Lee’s former wrestlers also presented him with a plaque for what he meant to them and to Mount Vernon High School wrestling program.
   “Jimmy Lee’ is a graduate of Norfolk State University where he was a four-time CIAA champion and placed second in the NCAA Division U National Wrestling Championships. Coach Lee was also the Head Wrestling Coach at his Alma Mater, Norfolk State University, where he produced numerous CIAA champions and All Americans. He also was the Head Wrestling Coach at Granby High School in Norfolk and he had several wrestlers to place in the District, Region and State competitions.
    Currently, Coach Lee and Coach Randy Forrest direct a “Beat the Streets” wrestling program for youth at Park Place School in Norfolk. For more information, you may contact them at 624-3473.
