Norfolk Custodian
Cleans Up In Lottery
Norfolk Custodian Henry Mullins has won $1,000 per week in the Virginia Lottery’s Win For Life game.

The 17th winner in the past 21 months, Mullins won the Jan. 19 drawing with winning numbers 2-4-6-12-24-42. Mullins won by matching the first six of those numbers.
“I looked at it a thousand times,” he later told Virginia Lottery officials. “I hit my hand on my head to make sure I wasn’t asleep.”
He bought the winning ticket at Tidewater Shell, located at 3537 Tidewater Dr. in Norfolk. On Jan. 24, he returned to the store to receive the first of a lifetime of checks from Virginia Lottery Deputy Director Rich Williams.
The store also received a $10,000 bonus for selling a top-prize Win For Life ticket. Mullins, who works as a custodian for the U. S. Postal Service, selected the winning numbers at random.
