"This is another giant step in the history of American Legacy Magazine," says Rodney J. Reynolds, founder and publisher, American Legacy Magazine. "We move closer to our mission of teaching our history and helping to restore pride and self-esteem to those in and outside of our community, specifically our young people, who do not know their history."
For the last twelve years, American Legacy Magazine has been educating and entertaining its readers with in-depth stories on African-American history and culture.
Just last month, the magazine received national recognition in movie theatres across the country with the release of The Great Debaters—the movie starring and directed by Denzel Washington and produced by Oprah Winfrey—was inspired by a 1997 American Legacy article.

In addition, visitors to the interactive exhibit will also have a chance to win prizes when they test their knowledge of African-American history with American Legacy's Black History Wheel.
"This unique experience will be just another approach to help them feel good about where they've been and give them hope on what they can achieve," Reynolds said.
