Portsmouth Pan Hellenic Council Donates To City's Oasis Pantry

  The Portsmouth Pan Hellenic Council recently donated four turkeys and canned goods to the Oasis Pantry.  Also, on Saturday April 26, 2008, the following members and guests served lunch to more than 120 people.
    Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.-William Thorne, Tim Gross, Willie Plese, and Charles Lightsy; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.-Iva Foust- president, Shirley Brown, and Wanda Barner;  Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.-Larry Manning, Leonard Lipscomb, and Hurley Odom; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.- Marilyn Goodman, Sylvia Creekmur, and Wendy Hunter; Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.- Monique Trower-Coordinator of activity, Marchelle Williams; Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.-Winston Pearson.
  The Oasis Social Ministry, with the help of the community, has been providing for those in need in downtown Portsmouth seven days a week.
