Romeo and Master P Creates Kids' TV Show and Introduce New Character "Gee Gee, The Giraffe"

(BLACK PR WIRE) LOS ANGELES—Student athlete, teen superstar, and entertainer Romeo Miller, and his dad, entrepreneur P. Miller (Master P) welcomed over 20,000 kids to the "Children's Earth Day Festival" on April 27, 2008 at STAR ECO Station, an exotic wildlife animal rescue facility.
Accompanying Romeo and Master P, was Gee Gee the Magical Giraffe—the main character of an educational children's book and cartoon developed by Romeo. Master P, Romeo, and Gee Gee signed autographs, took photos, read stories, and talked about Earth Day and the merits of recycling.
Romeo created the character Gee Gee the Giraffe to connect with kids and make learning fun in the same way as Barney or Dora the Explorer.
"If you reach kids with a positive message and instill the importance of education when they're young, they'll have that mentality for the rest of their life," said Romeo. "Gee Gee is going to be a role model and teach kids trough music, books, song, dance, and animation.

“Even though I'm growing up, I still love the kids—everything I do is for the development of young minds. My Nickelodeon show taught me a lot. Gee Gee is a way of staying connected with my younger fans.
While Romeo gets ready to head off to college at USC this fall, Gee Gee will be hitting the road, stopping at schools, community centers, theatres, shopping malls, amusement parks, and TV stations.
Look for the first Gee Gee the Giraffe cartoon on DVD, and a film coming to theatres in 2009.
During the festival event, Romeo received the highest award, the "STAR Academics and Literacy Success Award" in recognition of his academic achievements, commitment to the community, and his efforts in educating children worldwide. His father, P. Miller was granted the "STAR Ambassador of Education Award" for his advocacy of education and social responsibility.
