Snipes Charges Racism In IRS Case

(Taylor Media Services) Approximately one month before he is scheduled to go on trial in Florida on eight counts of federal tax fraud, popular Black actor Wesley Snipes is maintaining that the government is attacking him because of his race. The star told Entertainment Weekly last week, “It was easy for people to jump on the Wesley is a bad guy bandwagon. That’s where I think the systematic racism come in. We’re conditioned in this country to believe that if there’s a problem, the black man is the culprit.”
The government accuses the actor of receiving tax refunds to which he was not entitled by acquiring the services of a firm known for filing fraudulent tax returns for wealthy people. But the star of a host of action movies including “Blade” has consistently maintained that the original tax case was brought against him because of his race.
