Top Ladies, Top Teens Sponsor Financial Workshop
 

   The Hampton Roads Chapters of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and Top Teens of America, Inc. sponsored a “Financial Literacy” workshop on Saturday March 22, 2008 at the Indian River Library, Chesapeake. Special guests were youth from the W.E.Y. girls group of the Norfolk branch National Council of Negro Women. Twenty-five youth were given excellent information on fico scores, credit cards, college finances and their responsibilities when dealing with their financial future.  The presenters for the workshop were Ms. Janie Harrison and Mr. David Stintson, Vice Presidents of BB&T Bank. Helena L. Dodson is President of the Hampton Roads Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and Carmela Porter is Chairperson of our Literacy Program.
