This event drew over 350 students from 54 different schools and attracted student groups who traveled from as far away as Fredericksburg and Richmond to receive this valuable information that can help to change the life of any student. Also, a parent workshop presented by the Virginia Beach police department on Internet safety and gang awareness was offered.

The program was chaired by Ms. Cyleta Johnson, a graduate of the 2005 class of Project Inclusion, whose committee included graduates of the program.
AAU basketball area director Mr. Boo Williams provided the keynote remarks that focused on achieving your potential.
The event was free of charge and included lunch, door prizes, and the raffle of a $500 laptop computer. Gift bags that included items from area merchants were also given to each participant.
Contributing to the success of this workshop were Youth Partner organizations that included The Youth Challenge Program, Divas With A Promise, Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia, and Calvary Bible College. Among a number of corporate sponsors were the Virginia Beach Police Department, SunTrust Bank, and Wal-Mart.
