Hampton to Host

1st Book Festival

HAMPTON—Hampton’s first annual Book Festival, organized and sponsored by the Hampton Literary Society and Hampton Parks and Recreation, will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. The festival is free and open to the public. The event will be hosted by the Hampton Literary Society, Veronica A. Davis, Founder.
“There is no better way to celebrate literacy than to hold a festival. Reading is a right that can never be taken away from us. This festival is long overdue and is an excellent way to promote literacy to children and people.”
